Connect iVCam via USB
The most stable way to use your phone as a webcam
USB connection provides more stable video transmission with lower latency compared to Wi-Fi. Ideal for streaming, recording, and professional use.
Why Choose USB Over Wi-Fi?
USB provides faster, more consistent data transfer with minimal delay.
No interference from other devices or network congestion. Reliable connection.
USB 3.0 supports higher throughput, enabling 4K streaming without drops.
Your phone charges while connected, so you never run out of battery during long sessions.

Connection drops frequently
Try different USB ports (back of motherboard is more stable). Use a shorter, higher-quality cable. Lower resolution to reduce bandwidth. Select HEVC encoding.
USB Connection Tips
- iPhone 15 Pro and later support USB 3.0 for faster, more stable connections
- USB 2.0 supports up to 1080p/60fps β lower resolution if experiencing issues
- For the most stable connection, use ports directly on the motherboard, not front panel or hub ports
- Use HEVC encoding in iVCam app settings for better compression and lower bandwidth usage
- If no Wi-Fi is available, you can use your phone's Personal Hotspot as a fallback connection method
