Quick Start Guide

3 simple steps to get started

1
Install iVCam on Your Phone

Download the iVCam app from the App Store (iPhone/iPad) or Google Play (Android). The app is free to download.

2
Install the PC Client

Download and install the iVCam PC client software on your Windows computer. Available for Windows 7 SP1, 8, 10, and 11 (both 64-bit and 32-bit).

3
Connect & Use

Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Open iVCam on your phone and the PC client β€” they will connect automatically. iVCam now appears as a webcam in all your apps.

Connect via Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is the easiest way to connect. Your phone and PC just need to be on the same network.

Requirements

  • Phone and PC connected to the same Wi-Fi router
  • iVCam app allowed to use Wi-Fi in phone settings
  • iVCam PC client allowed through Windows Firewall
  • VPN or Proxy disabled on Windows (if applicable)

Wi-Fi Troubleshooting

PC not detected by iVCam app

Ensure both devices are on the same network and same frequency band (both 2.4GHz or both 5GHz). Check that Windows Firewall allows iVCam. You can also enter the PC's IP address manually in the app.

PC detected but can't connect

Allow iVCam through Windows Firewall (TCP/UDP port 5898). Disable router's AP Isolation. Make sure devices are in the same network segment.

Video is laggy over Wi-Fi

Connect PC to router via ethernet cable. Move phone closer to the router. Lower video resolution and frame rate. Try USB connection for better stability.

Connect via USB

USB connection provides the most stable, low-latency video transmission.
